Putting Without a Putter

I’ve been playing Tiger Woods 09. When a character makes a bad shot, sometimes throw a tantrum and break your club. This happens more often with a putter. According to the USGA Rules of Golf, a club damaged can not be replaced during a round. My question is: If you broke his putter during a tournament, what the club remaining in the bag that is used to putt?

    I would use a 7 iron because the blade edge is comparatively square, grip down to below the grip and putt .
