What is the proper attire for a woman to wear at a golf tournament and country club if she is not a player?

I’m going to attend a friends golf tournament and I have no idea what to wear b/c I have never been to one. Also, what should you wear to a country club?

    Anything sporty with sport shoes. Golf shoes will be good as it will help prevent you from slipping down the slope in the course, but not necessary. High heels are nightmaire and strictly improper, prohibited, uncultured and should be made illegal on golf course. Sadly, I’ve seen some girls wear them!!!
